The book that started it all for Rose Ranch

The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan

Published in 2006, this book (also available as an audiobook) prompted us to re-evaluate the U.S. industrial agriculture system. Inspired by Pollan's account of Joel Salatin's pasture-based operation, we purchased our farm in 2007 and our cattle (21 head) in August 2008. Our herd has now grown to 30+, a size we plan to maintain so that the cattle and the farm can stay healthy.

If you are interested in purchasing beef that has been raised only on pasture and in ways that are healthier for you, for the environment, and for the animal, please contact us at drose (at) roseranchjones (dot) com to schedule the next processing date.We look forward to serving you!
